実は縁あって、2週間ほどスリランカ🇱🇰に行っておりました。人生初、ヨーロッパ以外の海外滞在✈️

国内で最古の大学であるコロンボ大学のギター科の学生さん達のために、マスタークラスとコンサートを行わせて頂きました。
現地の学生さんたちは私の拙い英語にも熱心に耳を傾けてくれました。スリランカではギターのみならず西洋音楽の教育はまだまだ発展途中らしく、学ぶ機会やコンサートなども多くはないとのことですが、生徒さんたちはアドバイスの飲み込む力、それを自分のものにしてしまう学習能力が非常に高く、短い時間でも有意義なものになったのではないかと、手前味噌ながらに確信しております。
いろいろな人に尋ねてみましたが、好きな曲にはタレガが流行っているとのこと。これからのこの国のギター界の発展がとても楽しみです。

また別の日には現地の日本人学校にお邪魔して、現地に住んでいる子供たちに演奏を聞いていただきました。

Actually, I had the opportunity to visit Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 for about two weeks. It was my first time staying abroad outside of Europe ✈️.

I conducted a masterclass and concert for the guitar students at the University of Colombo, the oldest university in the country. Despite my limited English, the local students attentively listened. It seems that education in Western music, including guitar, is still developing in Sri Lanka, with limited learning opportunities and concerts. However, the students showed a high ability to absorb advice and make it their own, making the short time meaningful. From what I gathered, Tárrega’s compositions are popular among them, and I’m excited to see the development of the guitar scene in this country.

On another day, I visited a local Japanese school and performed for the children living there.
